Overview
As part of the project, Plan4Better calculated the quality of local public transport for 2025 in Schleswig-Holstein for NAH.SH, analyzing both traditional scheduled services and on-demand services based on schedule data, service times and stops, using the public transport quality class methodology.
Goals
- Assessment of public transport quality in Schleswig-Holstein to obtain representative results for a typical working day (Tuesday between 6:00 and 20:00).
- Consideration of the frequency of departures per station to determine station categories and include both scheduled and on-demand services.
Results
- The analysis provides detailed insights into public transport quality classes based on real data and helps to identify weak points in the local public transport network.
- The integration of on-demand services shows an improvement in accessibility, which could lead to more efficient and user-friendly mobility in Schleswig-Holstein, with transferable findings for other federal states.
