Overview

The creation of a heat atlas for the redevelopment area Luitpoldhöhe forms the core of the project aimed at improving energy efficiency and unlocking new energy potential for heat supply. The first step involves a detailed assessment of the renovation status and building age classes within the area. This fieldwork is crucial for conducting a well-founded potential analysis. Based on this foundation, a comprehensive catalog of measures for energy retrofitting will be developed. This catalog not only minimizes energy consumption and promotes the use of local renewable energy sources but also considers efficient centralized energy systems, such as district heating networks, with each measure carefully evaluated for cost-effectiveness, energy security, social acceptability, and ecological efficiency.

The involvement of municipal utilities and the local community plays a pivotal role in the success of the project. Collaboration with the municipal utilities ensures the technical and infrastructural implementation is carried out at the highest level, while the active participation of residents ensures that the measures gain acceptance and meet the needs of the community.
